grantnunn 0
Hi all, when i bought my vr6 the boot didnt open from the outside, it had a piece of string attached to the inside on the metal pulley, after sorting most of the other problems out im not tackling this. It looks like the piece of black plastic that turns isnt now, does that sound right, is this a common fault, can anyone offer some suggestions. i would add a couple of pics but cant see how? grantnunn 0
thanks for the respnse but ive since found that the black round piece of plastic needs to rotated to the left to reset it. dont know if that makes sense but i think it needs stripping and oiling up

Lukey. 381
The black cylinder if plastic should be connected to the boot central locking cylinder, then when the cylinder is actuated with the central locking it should push ad pull the black part, rotating it to either engage with the button or be moved out of the way so it doesn't open the boot when the car is locked
