Goguvarra 0
Hello,I've just bought a MK3 VR6 2.9 4WD Golf with 220K km. The car looks fine, runs fine but never having owned such a beast there are some questions that came up since I don't know if it is the normal behaviour of this car1) The temperature rises a bit over half when I drive around in the city and is stays a bit to the left when I drive on the motorway.2) after a driving a couple of hours the interior near the wheel and in the center between the 2 seats gets warm, not too warm and barely perceptible but if you touch it you can feel the heat. I suppose the big engine gets pretty warm inside the hood and transfers the heat to the interior ?Also because of this i presume even if the outside temperature is pretty low when I turn on the ventilation inside the car, even if it's set to cold, the air comes pretty warm. I believe this is the air ducts running close to the hot engine inside the hood ? 3) When cold the engine starts fast and without problems however when already warmed up sometimes after starting the rev needle goes up and when all the way down and the engine dies. To prevent this I must pinch the throttle a bit when starting up and then the rev stabilizes.4) When idling it has a nice hum but it is also a little bit shaky and some vibrations can be felt inside the car. I kinda like it but I don't know if it is normal.5) When cold (haven't checked if it does this when the car is also warmed up) some puffs of smoke come out the exhaust. It's not a bluish smoke.Sorry for so many questions, just want to know if I should worry about something with this car. I like it alot. Thanks,Mike
