cabrioman 6
OBD2 does not have a seperate isv like the OBD1 ... have you had the throttle body off ??? if so let the car idle for about 3-4 to try and re-set it ..... th eidle will be rough but should smooth out
Vw_owner 1
idd check to see if the ht leads are correctly seated,
tjsmudger 2
As aboveIf you have put the leads in by hand they can sometimes be tricky to seat correctly!

Gazbarber1982 3
If you unplug the throttle body it loses it's adaption and needs to be adapted. Either done through vagcom or without touching the accelerator pedal, turn the ignition to on without starting and leave it for 5 mins. There the only ways to adapt your throttle body and could cure idleing

I will try this tomorow. i have vagcam but not sure how i would go about doing that so ill try and leave it for 5mins 1st. I did have a error code come up on vagcom ( Idle Speed Regulation_ but since taking off and putting aback on its gone. maybe it will come back after the throttle body does its thing
Gazbarber1982 3
If you got vagcom you goto engine controller and then basic settings group 098. Takes 3 seconds to adapt. In block 4 it will say adapt run then adapt OK. If your using eBay vagcom and your not setup right, you might get adaption error but it can be done ;-)

gary_auto 1
Ok thanks. btw as you seem to know alot about vag-com is there any tricks i can do with it to my car???? cant seem to find any links on it. the only thing i no how to do is read fault codes
Gazbarber1982 3
Not too much you can do really. Clear fault codes, throttle body adaption, bleed abs pump. When you clear the fault codes for the engine it resets all the learnt values for your engine so will need to learn them again.
