ASHLEYG 4
Afternoon all! I've just started up my newly rebuilt engine for the 1st time ever, and on running it up to temp, I've noticed there's a colant leak from the front right head nut. (using ARP head bolts)Does anyone have any idea why I'd have a coolant leak from here? It's seeping out from the nut between the nut and the head! The engine was already built up when I bought it so I have no idea what torque the head was bolted on at.I'm hoping this can be easily resolved Ash
UnitedMotorsport 55
Put a torque wrench on the nuts and see what torque they are done up to.Not alot is my guess.
Bobtrude 0
I had an oil leak from my headgasket after installing arps and headspacer. I retorqued my bolts to 75 ft/lbs and its stopped leaking.... for now .
ASHLEYG 4
Think I've sorted this now. I removed the head stud, cleaned it and sealed the threads and the washer with rhodorseal. Good stuff!
