Vw_owner 1
mine normaly idles around 700,but can idle at around1000, has it been raining? lol my corrado is absolutley terrible for getting a damp MAF plug, and when its damp it'll idle high and can run crap, squirt wd40 or other water repelant in the MAF connection plug, other then that make sure your ht leads are seated properly, hope this helps,,
sharma187 0
Cheer pal will try that. I'm going to put a diagnostic tool on it and I noticed it misses in every gear between 1 - 2 k revs then it clears up and I'm getting around 8 - 12 mpg before I was getting 24 lol
sharma187 0
Today I checked codes and checked all breather pipes were ok and every thing was fine. A few codes came up but nothing corresponding to the misfire issue. Tommorow I will take the rocker cover off and check the timing. What symptoms would I get if the timing was off ??
