Gazbarber1982 3
How do you mean sit further out?
bungy 2
If you mean it sits wider out in reference to the wheel arch lip compared to the other side then I don't think any manufacturer would design a car like that.
OEM+ 1
hi has it had a new passenger side wishbone at any point, a vr wishbone is 10 mm wider than standard mk3 may have the wrong one fitted to the passenger side

OEM+ 1
try an measure both arms from the same point under the car or check the camber, their is a fair bit of movement on the two bolts holding the shock to the hub where you can adjust it
Gazbarber1982 3
Quickest way to check camber is look at the wheels front on. When I had suspension bearings changed, they never set the camber right so one wheel appeared to stick out more than the other. Quick adjustment with a camber gauge sorted it.
