CALICO 130
I have 3 way component in the front but 2 way component are good enough tweeter in the dash midbass in the doors running of an amp. I have Rainbow Dls and JL Audio but most speakers 150 watts rms should be good enough of a cheap amplifier Ebay is your friend
bungy 2
I have Alpines fitted in mine and they are a nice relatively cheap replacement.
tjsmudger 2
Out of interest, do I have to take the door cards off or can I just pop the speaker grill covers off to access the speakers?
CALICO 130
if they are components you shouldnt need to take the panels off but if they have something sticking out of the front IE: tweeters then you may have to.
tjsmudger 2
No these are just replacement ones, the old ones are just too old! Rattling, is driving me insane!
tjsmudger 2
While I'm on a roll here, do the mesh covers on the dashboard just pop off, if so do I just prise a flathead down and slowly lift? Not very practical as you can tell!!!
CALICO 130
yes prise from the back iirc then pull upwards

Alex22 0
just pop off the cover and measure them
CALICO 130
you can get very shallow 10cm midrange in there but id use a bracket and add the tweeter to the bracket i shall put a picture up just fill the space under the tweeter with insulation for better soundsim 41 some people dont know alot about sounds or how it should sound but i started as soon as i got a car and have never stopped
Lukey. 381
for the tweeters i cut out the originals from the OE round disc that slots in the dash then enlarged the hole in the middle for the newer bigger tweeters and araldited the new ones in.
