kentyboy 0 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Share Posted May 14, 2011 help!!!! i have a 95 vr. my abs light is on and also the handbrake light was intermittent,but is now on permanently,have vag com ed it and it is showing rear o/s sensor problem and abs pump problem,have not addressed these problems as yet,gonna try the sensor one by cleaning it first,if not,check the wiring ,then renew if that doesnt cure it...but... the abs pump,reading on here could be the abs ecu. does anybody know that if i fitted a known working abs unit and ecu as a complete setup from a 97/98 vr if it will work or not,or will the ecu work with mine? just got it as a freebie,so thought it was worth giving it a go as opposed to trying to fix mine.... Gazbarber1982 3 Posted May 14, 2011 Report Share Posted May 14, 2011 I had a similar problem and it was the front abs sensor wire wasn't clipped in properly. It had touched the disc a few times when hot which melted and shorted it out. Link to post Share on other sites
