C8RDO 0
Hi there!According to my Corrado instruction manual:The type plate and the vehicle identification number is located on th engine compartment bulk head (The bit at the back/top of the engine compartment when looking from the front)The engine number on the 6 cylinder engine is visible when you look from the drivers side of the engine compartment between the air filter box and the top of the suspension strut. You should see a plate some where on the side of the engine block. There should also be a vehicle data sticker some where in the boot which shows:1 Production control number2 Vehicle identification number3 Model code number4 Model explanation/engine output5 Engine and gearbox code letters6 Paint number/interior trim code7 Optional extra number.Hope this helps a bit. shail 0
Think i must be going blind, cant see anything on the block. new engine so the info on the bulkhead is for old engine.
trackman 0
Just checked on my Golf engine and it's on the offside of the rocker cover on a white (but dirty) sticker with a large barcode and the word 'Motokennbuchsfaben' then the number, in my case AAA ******, but in your case it should be ABV ****** I think.Rich
shail 0
Not got that sticker on mine - i know the one you mean. Oh well, guess i'll have to ring up the DVLA to see if they really need the engine number.
trackman 0
Oh, you want it the hard way It's stamped on a flat machined bit on the block at the offside end (pulley end) immediately below where the head meets the block.I'm not sure how easy it is to see in situ as my engine is currently stripped and in the garage.Good luck!!Rich
