spadam 7
Not sure who suggested to remove helper springs but they are there to keep the springs from becoming dislocated. Not sure why they are rubbing though. Do you have any pictures of where it was rubbing.

Gazbarber1982 3
As a few people have told you already, and there not the dumbest people on here by a long shot, just put it back on! The dampers are set to travel by a set amount; meaning the helper spring is designed to compensate the lowest settings. Removing the spring will shorten the life of your suspension, fail your mot and put yours and other peoples lives in danger. If your really after the lowest suspension n the sh|t ride, then go with what you've got but don't say we didn't warn you!!!
spadam 7
Sounds strange to me were the helper springs at the top or bottom.
jims13 6
the only reason i can see for removing the help spring is to go LOWER than the suspension is designed for .if you do this you void any warrenty, plus other things .if you want to go 120mm lower than stock , then either purchase , said collies for it or get airbags .remember lowering to much will have adverse effects on camber etc. plus the parts of the car that its linked to .your choice, but id put them back as they came pre assembled. Gazbarber1982 3
Rubbing on what? If its rubbing on your tyre the you've either got the camber wrong or the wrong offset wheels
