moving things about and a swirl pot

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Until winter when I fit the new engine I have decided to fit some items to the vr6 engine. I plan on fitting a cone filter in a home made carbon fibre air box and using the hole the carbon filter sits in to guide the airflow through. My question is do I really need the carbon filter and I take it if I do I will still be able to move it and extend the piping wiring?

Also I am fitting a bmw rad with the coolant tank attached to the side. Due to this I can remove the header tank and I plan on fitting an alloy oil catch tank and alloy power steering fluid tank. Since this will free up some space in the engine bay, plus I have moved my battery and washer reservoir to the boot, I was wondering if I could fit the alloy swirl pot and facet fuel pump I have in the space the reservoir and battery used to sit or is it better being fitted closer to the fuel tank.....
