Where do i find the code?

it will have only come with the keys when the car was new on a little plastic tab attached to the keys' date=' if you didnt receive it when you got the car then its lost and you would have to go to the dealer with your V5 and IDs to prove you are the current owner to get a new key, along with a big fat wad of money!

Theres no way you can guess it as theres 2 different versions of codes with different lengths and combinations, if you tried with VAG-COM without your original 4 digit code youd probably inadvertently clear the stored keys and be left with no working keys.

you need to get VW to do it mate, they will re code your immobiliser with a 7 digit code and code your key and any new ones to it, they will not give you this new code either, so any future codings will have to be done direct through them too.

4.15 How do I obtain an SKC for Immobilizer and Key-Matching functions?

We do not know of any way to retrieve an SKC for VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda vehicles. Prior to 2002, some vehicles were delivered with a scratch-off panel on a plastic tag that contained the 4 digit PIN code. Starting in 2002, dealerships implemented the WIN2 system to provide SKC's to their technicians and customers. Starting April 1, 2005, VW/Audi dealerships switched to the new GEKO system, whereby their factory scan tools dial up the factory while connected to a car. Under this system, the technician no longer sees the SKC at all and you will need to bring your vehicle into the dealer to have Immobilizer work performed. VCDS does not interact with the GEKO system. Check out our Immobilizer Page for more information and procedures.
