Hey Guys, Got a question about intake pipes, been looking around and the only one i can find is the bonrath power rohr, alot of other cars seem to have one continuous pipe from throttle body to supercharger, what do you do with the maf sensor ? are these just home made pipes?

thanks

hmmmm, mines where you lot are saying it shouldnt be and by the look of the receipt its been there for 10 years, it still pulls well, and it would be a shame to ditch the carbon pipes! although i can see where your coming from.

I did what you guys said and put the maf between the air filter and the charger and it ran really rich, also was juddering on normal speeds and would barely start, changed it back around and runs perfect?! Is this because the car was mapped with the maf after the sc? Thanks

More than likely yes. but what it does show is how different the readings from the maf are from swapping it over. i think you'd have to ask united motorsports or something to find out which gives a better more accurate reading.

What charger is it? The old Z Engineering kits were mapped with the MAF downstream of the boost, but they only ran 6 psi and the ECU could just about cope with that.

Technically speaking, MAF should always be upstream of boost but if it works, it works. Leave it.
