mr big 0
Its a 93k German Import LHD auto, with cruise, aircon etc...oh and a blown head gasket!! Head is off, can you guys recommend anyone, preferably in the midlands who can skim my head and replace the valve guides whilst I enjoy myself dropping the box to do the timing chains! Is it worth having some porting done too? Basically I have dont have a great deal of cash at the moment, so my thinking was: Decat exhaust, port/polish the head, 2.9 manifold, and maybe an ecotek valve and one of those airbox chips to fool the ECU into thinking its got more air. (I know the latter two are not highly regarded but have given good results on some of my previous motors.) Any hints/suggestions would be welcome!! One more thing: whats the difference between an OBD1 and OBD2 motors? Thanks, Craig.
acf8181 0
we're working on a guide to obd at mo. basically it swapped over in '96.if i were you i'd have the block out instead to do the chains, seeing as you already have the head off.stealth racing is very recommended, but may be too far south for you.
