On an unusually long trip for me (about 10 miles) allowing my car to get properly warm for a change. On my way back it starts to misfire when pulling from junctions at low revs. Popping like a good un! I struggled it back home, but it really doesn't want to know at low revs and pops up to about 3k, then it pulls cleanly. Its gone a little bit noisy, almost like a chain rattle, but then it doesn't seem to do it all of the time so it good be a mettallic rattle (like a heat shield or something). I took the oil filler cap off to find a nice load of mayonnaise, but this could just be moisture as it really hasn't had any long trips recently. I have yet to check the expansion tank cap as its still a bit warm. The dipstick also looks clear.

Thing is, it had a head gasket in October 2003 at a dealers in Banbury, so i can't think that would be it, but i just dunno. Any idea?

Jump the gun a bit! I ain't even picked the bloomin angel eyes up yet!! ;)

Started and ran fine this morning so i'm just gonna blame it on the weather for now. Will take it on a bit more of a run tonight (pick up the angel eyes and the nice shiney manifold) and see how it goes from there. I'll keep you all posted (and get a pic of the eyes and the manfold on here as soon as possible!)
