Peakz 0 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Share Posted February 24, 2005 Hi chaps, I'm new to this site but a veteran VW fanatic.I've just bought a gorgeous Vento VR6 and want to get an uprated headlamp loom to beef up the weak lighting.Where can I get one fitted and how much are they?Can I get one s/h and if so how much are they worth?? Not sure what beefing up the loom itself will achieve.... Maybe someone else will be able to help... BTW you should post some pictures of your Vento in the members car section... Peakz 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 26, 2005 Thanks for your help mighty but I've managed to get an uprated loom out of another Vento.The standard loom loses at least 2V through resistance which means your bulbs have less power going into them hence the poor light output.The uprated loom uses a more direct feed from the battery allied to relays. The end result is a full 12v volts going into your bulbs giving you full wattage.Of course the other advantage to using this is that you can use off-road bulbs of a higher rating without frying everything in its path![ Edited Sat Feb 26 2005, 07:49PM ] Link to post Share on other sites
