FishWick 21 Posted August 10, 2011 Report Share Posted August 10, 2011 Going through this myself and the Golden Rule no 1 is this:-Get as much from the donor car as humanly possible!!!If you get bare engines (block & head with no ancills) and no loom etc, you're into a nightmare of expense and pain!Thankfully a lot of the MK4/5 parts are considerably cheaper than 12V parts but even so, getting everything you need at the start is absolutely key and the difference between getting the motor in over a weekend or taking months.
