Tris 0 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 I done a track day yesterday and it went really well till right at the end of the day.the car has done 103k miles and after headgasket failure, it was pressureing header tank and mixed the oil and water, when inspected it had gone on number 1. that was all fixed and we went on a track day at brands.we got black flagged due to smoke after over run. came in and temps were good, oil smelt burnt had lost about quater liter, and had gone thin. we noticed a small missfire. each cylinder dropped off as we pulled one plug lead off at a time but it was a definate missfire?got the car back today and done a compression test and all were at 160 apart from number one which is 65what I did notice sometimes in the day was slight pinking on full throttle, drop throttle off slightly and it went??what do you think? bore, piston, ring or head gasket Link to post Share on other sites
Pearsy47 1 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 I've had problems like this I've changed the whole bottom end due to old bottom end had bore wear and then after that I thought everything will be ok no turns out the valve guides where warn which then fucked the valves ! So The only thing I can say is take the head off and check over everything it's long but worth it !! Hope this helps Link to post Share on other sites
