antera309 3 Posted March 1, 2005 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 As binliner says, the only reason why you would want to remove the carbon canister is to make room for an inlet duct from the front bumper.There are no positive effects of removing it other than recovering the space.One of those hoses (the clear one) is a vent from the fuel tank. You don't want to block this off or connect it to anything, just tie it out of harms way.The black hose goes into the engine intake. You can safely block this one off.
