gavinvr6 0
make sure the isv and tb have a good seal and that you aint accidently split a hose. also what did you use to clean them? should only really use carb cleaner or contact cleaner. the engine should sit level just below the tops of the wings. try checking the left hand mount

Mine is exactly the same!! I have seen a heap load of yellow gunk looking stuff if I look down from the battery side down on what looks like a mount.

I see you are from Wolverhampton......Are you ever near Milton Keynes as if so I can put my MAF on and see if that helps. We can also check out both our mounts as it seems they have, well, broken!! p0u1 14
hmm just a random one but your cable to the TB is fully free and dont snag, and the goo affter 3000rpm i had that happen to me with a bad coil pack, but the high ideling sound to be a bad TB posible broke, be the first place to look as you said you had it off and put it back on and it failed, try unplug your battery, short the terminals together to discharge the ecu then connect back up to the battery, the put the key in the igition and turn it till you hear the buzzing sound and let it do its thing till the bbuzzing stops without touching the pedal, then start it and see what you get, i also heard something to recalibrat the TB driving at 3000rpm for a while then drop the revs in 3rd gear till you need to change down without using your breaks, but i only read that so you could try it i guese .if all fails look at your fuel pump, maf, blue coolent sensor (the ecu one), crank sensor bloody vr6 has so much sensors, if you can get on some ones Vag-com or get a garage to scan it for you and see what faults the ecu can tell you
mk1kid 0
checked these things today maf unplugged n drove spluttered like crap so mafs ok replaced the spark plugs and sprayed water over coil pack last night no arcing as i could see so im at a loose end maybe a internal coil issue if not maybe a sensor anymore suggestions welcome thanks so far from everybody

p0u1 14
ICM the thing that fires the coils, its on the back of the coilpack, if you unscrew the plate on the back of the coil pack and loosen the 4 bolts on the top you remove the coil pack from the ICM, i got one spare if your anywere near bedford
