goodboy1451 0
depends really on whether you want low down grunt (useful for daily drive) or top-end speed. The Schrick manifold is a definte worthwhile mod. My second vote will be for a supercharger.
dragon_vr6 0
schrick inlet manifold mate wothr every penny
binliner 0
having driven a charged VR and one with a schrick manifold I actually dont think the manifold is worth the £1k+ price tag (maybe in conjunction with other mods it is but then thats gonna cost more than £1k!) Id save a bit more and get the supercharger
Eat this 2
schrick inlet manifold mate wothr every penny he speaks the truth m8 charger is the best mod BUT will cost way over 1k the schrick just dbls the vr grin
Al J 0
So does the shrick improve 0-60 times only? or are there other benefits to having one fitted?Would port polishing & working on the throttle body provide similar results for the £1k budget?
VR6Pete 1,455
spose it also depends on your insurence budget as well!

briscoe 0
i would personally go for the supercharger. but you will need deep pockets as the fuel bill will NOT be light. you can get one and set it up for around £900 i would of thought[ Edited Wed Mar 02 2005, 01:23PM ]
ste-vr6 0
spose it also depends on your insurence budget as well! Believe it or not I never thought of that one &| Does anybody have ideas on costs of purchasing a charger? And what sort of power gains? !amazed
antera309 3
You'd be very lucky to get supercharged for £1k, even if you did all the fitting work yourself. The remap would be at least £250 and I've never seen a supercharger sell for less than £1300.
VR6Pete 1,455
Plus, I think your insurence increases around 30% on average... From a standard VR6 lump you will get around 250 - 260 BHP....
