By close of play today we had removed complete interior, front end, exhaust and engine.

Rado pedal box in (thanks to bungy and matt at united motorsport), modified by parky aka bloody animal engineering ;)

Steering column back in and gear selector in.

Next phase is dash back in and interior sorted..

Engine, subframe rear axle and fuel tank next sat :)

BIG thankyou to parkie, bungy, roger and russ for your help and watch this space for 'specia'l updates!

And we do all the work, drink the coffee, eat the toasties and sort out the damage caused by grinders, tin snips, cable ties and gaffer tape.

Alright, a quick update..

After the weekends antics, things have been really busy at work so havent had much time, butt hankfully to the lovely local guys here in the south we have now completed the following:

Monday Parky assisted with removal of the wide track mk3 subframe from the vr donor and helped me man handle it into position..

Tuesday i was working away.. I was.. I mean i really was ;)

Wednesday after returning back to the unit from london, and as I was un supervised I bludgeoned one of the subframe mounting bolts and managed to chew up a thread sooo was a little pi553d and gave up after a bit of a kick.

Thursday (today) i managed to get old of Bungy who very kindly laughed at me and helped me to make a tap which failed, at which point he offered to drive me to my mates local garage where en route he made me poo myself!

I must admit his car handles like its on rails since he has done all the mounts and bushes BUT...

So anyway, after sourcing and collecting the 12x1.5 tap, he managed to rectify my little boob and now the stearing column is connected and so is the subframe..

Next job saturday is.....

Brake lines connected,

Identify the two hydraulic hoses on the master cylinder???

Drop the engine in,

Fit the rad and coolant hoses

Fit the intercooler and boost hoses

Fit the oil cooler

Rebuild front end

Connect up electric

Weld up at least one seat base

Drop the rear axle and swap with the wide track vr one

Flush the tank

Fill with pertrol

Fit the dash (if time lol)

And load on trailer or drive to pod.

Apparently rome wasnt built in a day but nee naw however could be ;)
