oldmandon 1
Well I now have a NEW problem!!!!!surprise surprise....... I changed my Water bottle cap, whilst I was waiting for the temperature to rise, I turned my heater on to full to remove any air in the system and waited, and waited and waited. The temperature guage went to 90, the top and bottom hose were hot, but still no hot air. So I decided to feel the hoses going into the bulk head. Top hose hot, bottom cold ( well luke warm but nearly cold). So my guess was that the Heater Matrix is blocked. Now then, I'm sure it's been mentioned on here before, but how difficult is it to change the heater matrix, what work is required.... Winter is coming so I'd like to try and sort it if possible!!!!! Utred 0
Hi Mate, about a days job. You will have to strip out all dash etc and undo matrix from firewall. Good luck........meag job. Maybe there is an easier way but I dont know of one.Have you tried a water flush????
oldmandon 1
Haven't tried that yet. I've got to change my thermostat and temperature sensor, so I will probably try a reverse flush when the system is drained. I just wanted to know how big a job it is come the worst!!!!!!! VR6Pete 1,455
Why don't you disconnect both hoses going into the matrix, get a hose pipe in 1 of the pipes see if water does circulate through? I could just be an air lock perhaps?
