Fuel on a supercharged vr6

Recommended Posts

Hey guys ,

Got a quick question , my car was remapped on 98 fuel when i had the supercharger fitted , as fuel prices here in holland on 98 are kinda silly is it possible to run the car on 95 fuel aslong as im driving normaly ect.

Will this cause engine damage or anything else in the long run as i use the car daily .

Cheers

William

Thank you for your reply .

Where i work at schiphol the mechanics said it could damage the engine . however they work on diesel motors from all our equiptment here so they werent too sure . but if it just loses some power i can live with that otherwise im going to have to get another cheaper car to use as my daily :-(

thanks again .

William

Will be fine for normal every day driving, ie not WOT.

At high load there will be high amounts of knock retard, Depending on which ECU you have alters the behaviour you will see. Typically OBD2 will be fine.
