vr6guy 29
Hi guysi have mk3 vr6 turbo, have finished my turbo engine install now but engine is now overfuellinghad it running with foot flat to the floor for 15 mins ish and car would only rev to 3000rpm and used nearly £20 worth of juice in that time!!! thats how bad it is.its soaking the plugs and making it misfire and have changed oil twice now due to fuel mixing with oil.have checked coolant sensor on diagnostic - okmaf - oktried cleaning plugs and putting blowtorch down plug holes to burn off fuelunplugged fuel pump fuses and taken plugs out with coil pack unplugged and turned over to clear the pistons but have had no luck....i think its just flooded from where it has been sitting as it has got worse and worse.any other things i could do to check?thanks guys
legvw 0
Are you using the correct fuel pressure regulator?
craggsy 91
More info needed really. What injectors? What remap?etc etc
bungy 2
You need to be really careful that you don't wash the bores if it is over fueling that much. Have you put larger injectors in by any chance and if so what size are they?

vr6guy 29
Vr turbos are the nuts!!! it has a chipped ecu but dont no what oneHas 440 injectorsNot sure what regulator it is, it all came with the engine when I bought it...maybe the regulator isnt plummed in properly? At the end of the fuel rail on the right side it is standard looking... Is that right? I shall get some pics asap as well.
VR6Pete 1,455
I dont think a chip would suffice, you really need to get it remapped on a rolling road before any long term damage is caused...
bungy 2
If your ECU isn't set for the size of injectors you will be over fueling by a factor of 2.5 times what it should be.
vr6guy 29
hi guys ECU is chipped for the 440 injectorsbasically i bought the running gear all in one and have fitted to my vr6, so i havent changed anything from when it was in the other vr it came out off, which it ran fine in.....i have reduced the exhaust from 3" to 2.5" as well, dont no if that makes a difference. here is engine beforehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IZBEA5ZepA&feature=relatedhere is engine nowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L93EQSqkKRo
UnitedMotorsport 55
So you appear to have no boost reference line connected to the waste gate? The EVAP connection on the manifold open to atmosphere, and a dump to atmos dump valve?

I got a hose connected to the inlet nipple by the throttle body going tto a T piece connecting to fpr and dump valve.

I have got a boost controller coming on order, I connect that to the waste gate I think?

The fpr needs a take off on the manifold, after the t/b, the original take off is by the coilpack, right side of the inlet, above the servo take off.
