bran23 0
Hi all I'm looking at getting an r next week and I've seen on some of the adverts it says coil pack recall was this for all r's or just some, how can I tell if mine needs to have them done and if so would I be able to get them replaced at my local dealer for free just don't want to have to spend out on more straight away I've driven the car and seen the history but no notes on coil packs and it drives faultless
craggsy 91
There was a batch of dodgy coilpacks that needed VW to recall them but never announced it publicly. Only way to check is to book it into VW for the recall.Oh and have fun in the R32.....I know I do

craggsy 91
Itr wasnt a recall for the 6463 update. That was just down as a bulletin and got flagged up on a service. You walk into a dealers and ask for the 6463 update and most will not have a clue.Easiest way to tell is on vagcom

rodney 17
as said it is a reacall and only if the issue is present otherwise it doesnt get done... there is a good write up on the R32oc... not that we want you to leave here... and as above enjoy the car we all do... Mk4 or mk5? btw???
bran23 0
Its a mk4 in diamond black its got full leather sat nav and sunroof mate in my opinion the best shape it looks like something special I think the mk5 doesn't look much different from a standard golf apart from some jewellery up front lol
bungy 2
I think the best advice would be to get it checked after purchase at a dealers and then you'll have piece of mind. Make sure you get some photo's up after you've bought it as it sounds really good.
