golfboy666gti 0 Posted March 5, 2005 Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 A few weeks ago I ordered a Patec suspension kit (dampers and springs) form tmtuning.com (Sent from USA to New Zealand)It arrived last Monday so I had to wait till this Saturday (today) to fit it.Anyway I told them the spec of my 1994 VR6 Golf, giving them the VIN number etc.When I pulled the front suspension out I found that the spring top is wider on the Patec spring than my factory spring so now the suspension cant be fitted till I get a new top hat for the spring.Can these be bought by themsevles? or do I need to get a whole new top mount as well?The factory top hat has a number stamped in it which is 357412341A if this helps any?
