russj249 2
How did you get the steering wheel to fit? and does/would be airbag work?
zed456 0
I haven't managed to get everything working YET but I'm sure it's possible with some wiring and patience.. I think rather than the tts Audi steering wheel the new golf r or sirocco steering wheels are better to fit.
zed456 0
Just flatted ready for polish when I had a bright idea which involves a bit more work....And here's a lil preview of my bumper
zed456 0
So anyway decided to paint it red and put a kit on it and changed the interior and engine and here's what came out
filtee 0
Looks like you ditched the steering wheel and put tiny wheels on it too. I like the one on the right. lol
zed456 0
decided to go grey on the mouldings and roof too and few other little bits looks good with the plum body
oldmandon 1
I can see where you're coming from.... Be good to see it when it's all polished....... but looking good so far
zed456 0
Cheers mate should be all finished tomorrow but I strted it up today and the tappets sounded quite loud so might have to do them too
filtee 0
They'll quieten down pretty quickly. My old one was tappety due to not being run for ages. I let it run for around 15 mins and they stayed the same but once i knocked it off then restarted it they were spot on. No noise at all.
legvw 0
Good work, looking forward to seeing the finished paint work on your car, i think it will stand out because its different to the norm.

zed456 0
I hope they do quieten down..Thanks for the comments guys..Jay ur mad to not put the vento front on I think they should have made the mk3 with the vento front wait till mines finished hopefully tomorrow
filtee 0
Its quite weird the first pics on this thread as my vr is dusty mauve (similar ish colour) and also has a silver vento bonnet , smoked headlights and debadged grill. Very alike. Mine was due to have bonnet and grill painted yesterday but due to mechanical issues (see my other posts) i had to postpone till next week.
zed456 0
Well then u have style ... I hate mechanical problems they do my head in
jay1981 0
Well Its been in my shed for about a year, i sorted out the original front and found new love for it but after seeing yours i am definitely thinking the vento front now... the headlights look sweet!
