russj249 2
not sure about O2 sensor, but what lights are actually on on the rear? Side lights or brake lights?
lumoxs 0
thats a pic if you can see the lights tht on, im sure it's a side light, altho it's quite bright.
russj249 2
The far outer light is the brake light.. the side lights are the ones 1 inside of those if you get what I mean.Chances are its a brake light switch sticking. There's a little switch on the top of the pedal, drop it off and unplug it. The lights should go out, then get a piece of wire and put it like its shorting out the wires, the lights should come on. that is basically manually operating the brake light circuit. Then try the switch again and see what happens. As for O2 sensor too, when they fail I think they just go to a preset value, so wouldn't think it'd make it run lumpy. More likely use a bit more fuel on a run. Check for any air leaks etc and plugs, leads and coilpack.
lumoxs 0
cool thanks dude will check tomorrow.... i left the bonnet off the car for a few days n it got wet.... i pulled all the plugs out n gave them a clean and then it stopped for a bit but then started to hunt again..... russj249 2
Is it obd1 or obd2? Could be worth giving the idle control valve a clean out too.. but hunting is more likely an air leak. Check the breather on the rear left of the engine between the rocker cover and inlet pipework.
