gavinvr6 0
hey guys and gals i got a small problem thats getting annoying. at high speed about 85/90 im getting a vibration coming up through the car. its just passed its mot and ive fitted new rear brake kit. it was doing it before i fitted the brakes. it feels like its coming from the rear. any ideas? mot tester said nothing appears wrong and gave no advisories against bushes or bearings
ThermalP4 1
Could be tyre balancing if it's coming through the car from the rear.
gavinvr6 0
thats what i thought but the guy i got it from had just had new rears put on it at a reputable varahe
russj249 2
A weight could have fallen off.. Just get them all balanced for what it costs.. Not much else that can cause it, after all an oval tyre or buckled wheel would be seen on mot. Depending on mot tester obviously.
russj249 2
Also if you mean a reputable garage, such as kwik fit or the like, I'd definitely get them checked. I work in a garage and some of the worst things I've seen are from people who've been to such places.
ThermalP4 1
Worth checkin mate because i've had new tyres put on at my usual place who are great in my opinion and had to go back. It does happen.
rodney 17
yup tyre/wheel balancing, damaged/bucklged wheel. Wonky tread on the tyre. then tracking cast and camber all around...
gavinvr6 0
okie dokie i give it a try. thinking about it though my company had some fit and balance my front tyres on the van and that was 150g over weight and 1/3 of the way round the wheel away from the balance point lol
