cbmotorsport 0
right guys heres something a few certain members might be able to help me with.on Caddyslammed`s candy white vr6 , he has an OBD1 Loom, he sourced an obd2 loom from a 1997 P reg vento vr6. looms all connected etc , apart from a few differences with fan connectors. BUT there are a couple of plugs that even i am unsure of! they are inside the vehicle , and im pretty sure the big black plug is comething to do with headlights. but would appreciate any input from others.any ideas? michael5556 247
Pretty sure that top one goes into the fuse box. Think the next one has something to do with either the heater or the indicator stalks etc, on the steering column basically. The other ones should have loose plugs lying around that go into it. lumoxs 0
hey mate, i have the same on my odb1 loom, the green one and yellow one go to nothing there just sat there. bo idea if there the same as on a mk3 but in my 3.5 there just loose ends.the big black one should go to the fusebox somewhere. Caddyslammed 16
I'm not sure, but I think the whole point in this thread is because the black one doesn't fit into the fusebox?
cbmotorsport 0
Thanks guys, i was pretty sure a couple were left disconnected, but as above the black doesnt fit the fusebox. I didnt have that plug on either of my looms.

cbmotorsport 0
sorted guys. bit of etka research shows that the 12pin black plug is for vehicles fitted with airconditioning. so we wont be needing it anyway the other 2 plugs are to do with air conditioning aswell. so all is well cheers for the input guys

Player No.1 0
Hi, I've been doing some work this week with a new loom for my golf and I I have a feeling the plugs you have shown are all connected with the aircon, I noticed you have quite a thick red/black power cable leading to the yellow plug, I noticed this was thicker on my loom for climate control, is that a possibility? You mention you found out what the other plugs are for actually, what is the green single pole plug for as mine is currently dangling? cbmotorsport 0
if you look at the front page of the electrical threads, there is a complete mk3 fusebox Diagram that i posted. the thicker cable leading to the yellow plug, is indeed for aircon. the difference is weather its just air con or if it has complete climate control . the little green plug, similiar to the white plug, both with red and black cable leading to them are left disconnected. i cant remember off the top of my head what they are for unfortunately.
