allsmiles 0
im expecting our first child in february and the other half has been moaning at me to get a bigger car as our current car (toyota aygo) simply isnt going to cut the mustard with the boot barely able to fit my gym bag in there!so anyway i decided on a golf vr6 highline due to it qualifying for classic insurance, i liked my friends 3 door and was impressed with it, and lastly the noiseso the search began a few weeks ago, ive only viewed 2 localish ones, one was a rusty bag of nails with some nice grinding noises coming from the engine, and the 2nd one i viewed and bought bodywork wise was good, engine seems to go well, drives nice, abs isnt working tho but i took the gamble after reading on the net that the abs seems to be troublesome anywayplans for it- i will be getting the car on the road in february and right now my priorities is to give it a full service and polish, sort the abs problem and replace to tired suspension with some coilovers and leave it at that for the time being113k on the clocksparts replaced and fitted since purchase 5/7/2012front ball joint replacedexhaust downpipe replacedabs sensor repairednew vento headlights new badgeless grill vento bonnetnew suspension strut top mountsfk streetline coiloverseibach front camber boltsboth front wheel bearings replaceddare bbs reps 8j front, 9j rearnumber plate surrounds (not yet fitted)smoothed front and rear bumpers (not yet fitted)new head unit (not yet fitted)drivers side mirror casingmk3 gti steering wheel (not yet fitted)new early vr6 front splitter (not yet fitted)new coolant capaerobladesnew smaller arial

daveyboy 897
Hi mate, did you have any problems getting the front wheels to fit? ive got the same rims but in 7.5x17 and 8.5x17, the fronts are a mile off the hubs so i was wondering if you used spacers and if so what size? Cheers Dave
