yakuza racer 16 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 1994 model 176 000 on the clockgot it for a steal as it has some issues to fix and sort out:holds back - suspect coilpack or leadsdont think it has a thermostat in, temp runs higher than normalhas an oil leak i must findgearbox syncro's, 2nd gear and 1st fcuked, pops out of 1st and struggles to get into 2nd ;( bodywork is good with a few dings and dents here and there...will get some more pics up of it soon, sent a few parts away to be high polished but will first do fault finding on it and get it running strong before doing any modding. yakuza racer 16 Posted January 16, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 Got me another vr, gearbox was farked so sent it to rushdi..So got the car back from my buddy, he fitted her with:2L16valve diff ( mine had teeth missing and spider gears was fuuuucked :cry: )3rd and 4th from another car ( he doesnt wanna say)all i can say is MOTHERS PURSE it is WELL WORTH it!!!! :twisted: it comes in all within the power band and reaaaaaaaally makes the car fark off with out a doubt!got my hands on a new MAF as well (6pin) , 2 coilpacks and still looking for the oil switch, will test and see if that fixes my issue.after payday is:new fuel pump ( suspect it could be my jerking issue)zorst ( 57mm SS two box system by PRO-FIT exhaust in brooklyn)wheel bearing's2 inner cv'ssprings + shocks ( saving for coilies but need springs the one is heated and fucked!)so got the car back and it was dirrty so cleaned her up a bit and fitted the broken ORIGINAL jetta vr6 lip.. will get around to fixing the lip in due time.Also have a old set porsche wheels that might come my way soon as well.pics after a sort of clean:still need to sort out the paint, has issues with it as you can see!will get Terrence to polish my car for me to see if he can save some of it, by the looks of the car the previous owner hasn't polished the car ever :| Link to post Share on other sites

yakuza racer 16 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 was a bit tight on cash so did the important bits first...got my TPS and changed up plugs and leads, in the process got my 57mm SS zorst done by profit :hurray: , got some stand in rims, new smiley face jetta grille and got my polished mani back from my buddy...some very shitty pics..the springs i WAS driving on to the new springs!!! ;( getting the zorst aka exhaust done:rims.engine bay:in the process of saving for the coilovers ( hopefully next month) and redoing the suspension bits (ball joints, lower control arm, etc)so for now i'll be cruizing... also going to be doing the roof lining soon Link to post Share on other sites

yakuza racer 16 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 20/2/2012had a good weekend, got in contact with my old white vr6 again and had to sort out some stuff for him and instead of cash we came to an agreement with a rim swop on the cards...Racing Hart Concepts - its like if an eagle and bbs rs would have a baby this would be the retarded offspring lol , need to get centre caps again as they stole it off while in his possession redone the outer cv's and no more wobble bobble kak on the long road, the car still feels "no right" getting the old Ian Glass shortened shocks this weekend coming and will be doing the front and rear brakes over as it is getting thin.next after the brakes is collecting my worked head, my steel gasket and fitting it along with oil, rings, bearings, mains, timing chains etc..pics ( it are kak as it was taken with the crapberry)Doing alignment after fitting the rims:outside the posie:went to a braai at Newlands Forest: Link to post Share on other sites
