badboyV6 4
The saga of my smoke blowing VR6 continues.... lol %-6 Since ive been using high octane fuel i seem to be getting black smoke when i rev it hard (5k onwards) now my knowledge tells me this means the car is overfuelling. Ive recently fitted a K&N and it was doing it before then. Are there any common faults that can cause this? Such as sensors and the like. My car is chipped (Superchip). Anything i can try before thinking about ECU or swapping the chip back again.....
badboyV6 4
Could it be the lambda probe?? (I noticed this in another thread)
acf8181 0
have you had the fault codes checked recently? is it throwing any up?if there are none, i'd be thinking it may be the chip is not set up perfectly.
Eat this 2
hows ur mpg compared to before if its much worse then it probably is chuckin too much inalso check the plugs if theyr black and/or sooty then it could well be over fuelling[ Edited Sun Mar 13 2005, 08:56PM ]
macas3 0
get a mot station to do an emisions test on your car this will tell u if something wrong cud poss be lambda and test will show this but i bet its the chip changing the fuelling and sending to mutch fuel
