ryanmac 0
Hi allWhile my car has been off the road I have managed to bust the radiator and header tank as they have been sitting in my garage. I have been looking on ebay at rads and have noticed the bmw 316 rad has the header tank on the side of it. Does anyone know if I would be able to use that....will it make a difference with the tank being on the side instead of the top at the turret....I can't see any difference as long as I get the pressure for the header caps the same. This would be perfect as I want a smoother engine bay.Ryan
michael5556 247
Yeah they do fit with a bit of custom work. You will have to buy two hose joiners. I think they are 25 mm.

michael5556 247
There are a couple of fiat ones that fit and work too. Or you could get the rad and buy a filler neck.
ryanmac 0
cheers for that. Does it not need the header tank? I like the look of the filler cap idea. Just to check is this what you mean.....http://www.nfauto.co.uk/in_line_radiator_filler_neck.htm
