el_chriso 0
Ive recently had a new PCV valve fitted as the last one was leaking. Ever since I get a really strong smell of oil in the cabin. Ive checked a few threads and discovered that a pipe can be connected to take the fumes straight down to the road. Exactly what pipe do people tend to use for this? or is it literally what ever people find lying around there garages??Cheers
Lukey. 381
if you did that youd need oil resistant hose. The system is designed to be a closed system though, ie the air in the crankcase is passed into the inlet with the stock PCV as it has already been accounted for by the MAF and ECU, so you could experience fuel mixture variance if you are venting this air out of the engine
