doxer79 0 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 help!! i was having a bit of a race when my car started to slow down and realised it was miss fireing and making loads of noise! so i pulled over and saw one of the plugs had blowen out but its taken the thread out with it so the plug cant be screwed back in , has this happend to anyone else? what should i do? %-6 %-6 x) :! Don't know what the official solve is, but i would have thought that you'd be able to helicoil it. Agree with the fact that the head will more than likely need to come off though. macas3 0 Posted March 24, 2005 Report Share Posted March 24, 2005 you have no chance of doin it in place the plug holes are to deep to get to unlike say 8v gtis as theyre east to get to i dont think you will be able to helicoil it anyway as you generally have to increase the size of the hole first for a smooth surface to helicoil it unless your very lucky if you do have to then the plug wont fit in the threads anymore hope your lucky!!
