I have removed my Koni adjustables and springs from my 96 VR and currently selling them on Ebay. I am getting a lot of questions regarding what other Golfs they will fit, can someone help??

Also can anyone identify what springs they are?? (see link below for picture). They were on the car when I bought it and I haven't got a clue what they are.

Hi

Well - the complete Koni kits usually come with 'unbranded' springs if I recall. Koni dont make springs - so its normally the distributor (or someone equivalent) to match the shocks with springs.

As for fitment - I believe that VR6'd from 94 on will all use the same shocks - as will a number of others golfd - such as the TDI's etc - im not too sure. Locate a parts catalogue like GSF and see what matches. If all else fails - then just say VR6 late '93 on !! ;)

They look like Vogtland Springs to me which is generally the springs that come with the SSK Koni kit, which this set up looks like it is.

The Official UK importer of these SSK kits, get the shocks and boxes in direct from Koni and then bulid up kits by adding the Vogtland springs, then distrupt them to the shops etc...

You can, as has been rightly said, ask for different springs at an additional cost, but the ones in the pic are the same colour powder coat as the Vogtland ones.

Hope this helps.

there were two different sizes of springs fitted to vr6's i believe....you just need to change the top mount cup if its the wrong one for car. damping/spring rates will most likely be different to other mkIII's, but they will physically fit on any.

but i'd go with binliners assessment.
