what brake hoses do i need for my 312mm conversion on early VR6?

hi guys i have a very early golf vr6 1992 J registration.

getting a 312mm brake disk conversion but where can i get the correct brake hoses that bolt into the capilers and into my existing brake lines??

if you have the part numbers and a place i can call that would be great?? :-)

So you have 280mm discs currently and I believe the early style hoses?

HEL hose are very good quality. just ring them and they custom make them for you. Tell them what car they need to fit, then length will need to be about an inch or so longer than your originals, then I think a banjo fitting for the new calipers. When I bought I think it was £15 for two hoses.

yes the 280mm disks and not the later 288mm disks :-)

Just remember that some MK4 calipers have a 1.0 thread pitch for the hoses and others 1.5mm.

For some reason VW changed the design and it's unsure of when and what calipers, especially since most calipers are over 10 years old meaning unknown history of what model and year they are from; so it's just pot luck really.

I'd advise looking at the thread pitch of your banjo bolt so you can advise the hose supplier before you buy.

I received the 1.0 and needed 1.5. C&R sent me some next day FOC. Really good service.

from memory a 2 hose set was £15 regardless of length etc. full car set of 6 hoses would be £90. I have a 312mm disc but Porsche calipers. That's wha I told them and they made them.
