VR6II 0
This will be my last post/try at things as my patience is running seriously thin before a mobile mechanic will be required!...Having now got everything water tight after doing the thermostat housing including loads of researching of posts on here (great Owners Club forum i have to say) + numerous trips to VW & GSF i now have come a cropper again.I refilled the system with coolant and it got up to past 1/2 way on the dash temp gauge but no fan kicking inThe blue wire on the attachment of the blue middle sensor snapped so i have tried to improvise...The black attachment is from a Polo but fits the blue sensor perfectly, having boned the blue wire from the loom to the blue/green and the other wire-to-wire.I dont know if its the sensor thats shot or the rad fan switch?I've been thinking to get a manual in-dash switch so is there anyway to test to get the fan to kick-in as a test?Any advice or feedback would be great cause as i say my patience tank is running on empty and i really wanna get this sorted!! :@
legvw 0
That blue sensor sends its signal to the ecu, the yellow sensor is the temp gauge and switch for the fans. Bridge 2 diagonal opposites on the plug to see if the fans kick into life, if yes it's the yellow sensor, if no then it's the fan control module under the expansion tank. yakuza racer 16
you should have the FCM, it regulates the speed of the fans on the mk3 and raddo, not sure if you transplanted it over.im clueless mate, but recheck everything and hopefully it will come to you...
