trying to freshen up handling and ride so have just done both wheel bearings one was really bad and also a ball joint that was advised and its improved loads .........my qeustion is track rod ends seem cheap to buy and easy to replace will this improve the ride and steering ???? not sure if mine are knackered or not but def aint been done in last 5 years !

They should be straight forward but usually need a ball joint splitter for it too be easy. But some can be very very stuck on with a lot of swearing. If you can undo the castle but and get the end out it should be easy. Just use lots of penertrating fluid or wd40 etc..

yeah sounds like ball joint i just did that without splitter had some advice to smash the hub with hammer to shock it out and it did after some aggression lol..just hope it improves steering im aiming to renew all front end bearings ,balljoints ,bushes track rods , brakes etc....
