the3mcc 0
I was just wondering if i need to replace anything else when fitting some 268 cams. ive got the cams but while ive got the engine opened up i wondered if it was worth replacing anything else..and or if i need to upgrade anything else to get the best out of them. And finally... what kind of gains will i get from the cams coupled with a lightend fly wheel? Many thanks to some or all answers.
FishWick 21
I would replace the tappets. Or you can resurface the existing ones with some fine wet and dry paper on a flat surface if funds are tight.Don't need to replace anything else.10% gain usually, but at the top end. 268s move the torque band further up. ssaunders 199
Put 263's in mine, new followers and tensioner bolt.Speak to Pete, it's possible to do a chain I believe.S
Daverse 175
Could do the top chain while your at it, depends on your budget and how long ago the service was done. but as said may as well do tappets, springs should be okay

joules 0
[blockquote] 10% gain usually, but at the top end. 268s move the torque band further up. [/blockquote]How would they work on a Turbo'd VR? Would it make it more aggressive?
