Deegolfvr6 0 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Hi guys I had an oil leak through my oil pressure switch, I changed the switch and oil Leak has stopped but my oil light on my dash is now flashing like mad. yakuza racer 16 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 you must have replaced it with the incorrect switch, there is 3 switches on the oil filter housing, which one was it? the green wire is the oil temp switch (smaller than the other two) Link to post Share on other sites
Deegolfvr6 0 Posted May 15, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 From what I can tell from my research there's the temp sensor at the top back of the casing and 2 pressure switches at the front a 1.8 bar and 1.3Bar it's the 1.3 bar switch that has gone and I replaced it with a 1.3 bar switch from euro car parts Link to post Share on other sites
yakuza racer 16 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 yeah that is correct.perhaps you got the incorrect wires plugged in?should fix up once the new switch is installed, either that or the switch that was sent could be a factory fault, things like that do happen on occasion. Deegolfvr6 0 Posted May 15, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Had a play with the switch when I unplug it my oil light goes off then when I plug it back in the light starts flashing again. I'm guessing that it mite be the wrong switch I've been given? Link to post Share on other sites
