michael5556 247
Tried individual and it said controller not responding. Tried a few of them. Also tried the autoscan. That picked up nothing too. Is it wired up wrong? I might check if there is power from pin 43 on the ecu.

UnitedMotorsport 55
Then its not wired up correctly, or the drivers on your computer are not correct. Where have you wired pin 7 of the OBD2 connector to?
michael5556 247
Too the k line. Grey and white if my memory is correct. The vagcom worked fine on a Leon so iit wasn't the laptop.

UnitedMotorsport 55
I would check the continuity of pin 7 on the OBD connection to the K line pin on the ECU.

michael5556 247
Good morning. I've still not fixed the damn thing. It's not got bkr7e gapped at 0.026". It's now running a 3bar Bosch fpr. New coilpack. New leads. New blue temp sensor. New fuel pump relays. Compression test this morning. Finally did get a port and will post up some pictures later. When I unplug the maf it runs very rich. Around 9.8. If I unplug the lambda it does nothing. But I don't think that controls idle. VR6Pete 1,455
Hi mate, i've sort of lost track with this Did you sort the diagnostics port? I think the first thing is to get that working and look at the fault codes in the ECU and start looking at some measuring blocks?
michael5556 247
I did but it's now not picking it up for some reason. I've check all the wires etc. but still no luck. It worked last week because I cleared the faults and nothing came back.
VR6Pete 1,455
Strange, have you checked continuity since its stopped working? on mine, my OBD port wires plugged into a "junction box" as it feeds the ABS ECU into there also.... Does your car actually run? do you have a spark, fuel etc.. ?
michael5556 247
I've got spark and fuel. It's like an imboliser fault. Except I have no imboliser. Lol it does the exact same thing though. Maybe fpr?
VR6Pete 1,455
The standard ECU will have immobilizer function built in, has it been deleted? the giveaway is that usually it runs for a split second and cuts out, produces a engine blocked by immobilizer fault, but as you cant talk to your ECU then you wont know if that is the case I had to get mine done on the corrado.....could be FPR, but your clutching at straws I think, personally I think you need to look at what's going on in the ECU. michael5556 247
Yeah I will have another look inside it. See what's going on. Yeah vince deleted the imobilizer so I'm told.
