jonvr6highline 0
I must admit that when I drive my MR2 after the VR6, you have to watch you don't drive it too hard in the wet! Could be tail out happy! 8)

acf8181 0
I wanna see it especially as im going round it in June and GT4 has made me over confident now! loli think its something with your PC most likely, maybe a codec needs downloading. you'll have to ask a computer geek the corner he went of at, schweidenkreuz is one of the most dangerous....scares the crap out of me. i did one lap as you know, in the wet, and i pootled through there and even then the steering went mega light and i was expecting the rear to step out which thankfully it didnt...i kept my foot hard in in case mind (fwd). thing is though, if you have a moment there you can still be in trouble if you recover it as you have to brake hard for the aremberg hairpin which follows. i've also seen footage of a TT dropping it at schweidenkruez as well, inc onboard!, but he went of the inside later in the corner. it looks like the mr2 turned in too early (though you need to turn in early there as the outside is mega bumpy - though the whole corner is pretty bumpy tbh), started running out of road on exit, and tweaked it in (very bad idea) and asked too much of the car. shows very clearly how important entry line is on track...i did the same thing at copse corner at silverstone in a ffirst, thankfully its got loads of run off, so a quick 90mph 360 and i was on my way. VR6Pete 1,455
reason 69 not to drive an MR2... the back end just dissapeared! rather come home from the ring in one peice thanks
mightyvr6 0
That corner is tasty. The approach is blind then there's a change in camber which would have unsettled a rwd car. The previous part of the track is v. fast and fairly straight (think I've had about 120 mph before that bend) so people don't expect the sudden change. Best to brake hard before the bend as there isn't time to make adjustments once comitted. You can see by the straight tyre marks where drivers have misjudged the bend and locked up the brakes. There's not much room for error on the 'ring.
Eat this 2
it scares the hell outta me and iv only done it on gt4 lmao
acf8181 0
reason 69 not to drive an MR2... the back end just dissapeared! rather come home from the ring in one peice thanks can't blame the car really...driver error.having watched the vid again, he just went in too fast and lost it at the camber change.from the huge twitch he got as he passed the camera car i reckon he wasnt giving the track the respect it needs. also worth noting he had aftermarket alloys, which were all prob same size...that age of mr2 shoudl have wider rears to make it more stable. VRmonster 1
just watched that a few times, does his car actually flip as i cant tell through all the smoke and dust? it looks like it does but just not sure. not too keen on tracking my car now, as id die if that was my car smashed up. dubloke 4
looks like it takes a big hit that throws it into the air and spins it round. am i right in thinking that you also have to pay for any damage incurred to the barriers around the ring in an "off". and you have to pay or sort your own way off if your car is beyond repair or undriveable? acf8181 0
yep, you have to pay....Removing damaged armco: €9.71/metre (x2 if double-height) Replacement armco: €28.89/metre (x2 if double-height) Replacement armco posts: tba Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people) Ambulance attendance: tba Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say' date=' do NOT go there without travel insurance! [/quote']and cost about £150 to recover car off track...i was very lucky when mine broke down as we got away with a mate (who just came past at the right time) towed me off, which isnt allowed and we got bollocked!the owner of nurburgring.org.uk was involved in a shunt last weekend as well (and witnessed a bad one) - http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/trip_reports/trip39/index.html
