CALICO 130
Why didnt you ask the people that mot'd it they are the proffessionals?
UnitedMotorsport 55
Your cat is not working. Your car passed and your questioning it?
russj249 2
Fast idle limit is 0.200%, between 2500 and 3000 rpm.Idle test after a short pediod has a limit of 0.300%.. that is obviously at idle.As said above, the cat isn't working, so it 'should' have failed on emissions. ashmk3 0
The way I see It is that's another year of driving. May aswell decat it and buy another cat before the next mot.

UnitedMotorsport 55
0.9% is the CO content of a VR6 with out a cat.A VR6 with a working cat will read 0-0.3%.Either your car is massively over fueling, or the cat isnt working. If your car falls before the required cat test date, then the tester was correct to use the none cat test. paceo 22
yes my car is pre august 1992, ive just had the car fully set-up at stealth racing 4 weeks ago with a re-map. ive also had it on a probe with a de-cat and it was 0.9 CO. so the same reading with a brand new cat on the car?? weird?? russj249 2
What results do you have from oxygen sensor? A faulty sensor 'normally' gives readings a bit higher than that, but could still be reading wrong? After all, I bet Vince remapped it with his own A/F sensor at the tail pipes not using VCDS on your oxygen sensor readings.Might be worth chucking it on vag com and see what the readings are.
