MrP 0
So my two year old has decided to hide my keys (my own fault for putting them down!). I've got a spare key which opens all doors and turns ignition on, but it's not programmed to the ecu. Is my only option to get a new key programmed by VW or is it possible to temporarily disarm the immobiliser until they turn up?
MrP 0
Just rang Wolverhampton VW and they no longer support this key type. They gave me the number of another company who are a mobile service and want £170 to come out and programme another key!!!!Any other suggestions, by PM if needs be would be appreciated. Cheers
VIW28 29
Get yourself a set of locks, ignition barrel, immo box and keys from a breaker. Once you've that all in you can adapt your ECU in Vagcom to to the new keys. Failing that and for something more permanent, remove the ECU, send it to United Motorsport and get them to do an immo defeat on it. Both options are a lot less than £
MrP 0
Keys turned up now!! He put them in the bin! Makes me want to get another key sorted though, is new locks or £170 the only way to get a new key for a car built over 15 years ago?
