ukdub 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Report Share Posted April 4, 2005 I have a coolant leak only when the car isn't runningI.E i run the car for a good hour and when the engine is running there is no leak. I stop and within a hour or so there is a big leak coming from underneath the car to leave quite a puddle. This then stops and then can start again a few days later. The car is only run about once a month as i have a v6 4motion. When under the car there is no sign of a leak.HELP ME PLEASE. ?! &| Link to post Share on other sites

Max VR6 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Report Share Posted April 5, 2005 I had exactly the same thing.Thermostat housing was replaced, got better but was still leaking.Turned out to be a hairline 'split' on the very outer edge of the head gasket - expensive x) good luck mate 8) Link to post Share on other sites
