Wilsonp83 1
HI there everyone, I find myself in need of some expertise again.97 R Mk3 VR6 HighlineRear wiper motor had failed but wash jet still operated only not much water was ejected from nozzle. Upon removal (and reading a fair bit on the internet) it was obvious that the nozzle was broken and leaked inside the motor.First port of call was to GSF for a replacement and at the time thought ~£70 was a bit dear and found plenty on eBay for a lot less. Long story short and 3 motors later (all the nozzles were snapped and "sold as seen") , I bought one from GSF.Problem now is that I get a strong jet of fluid from the nozzle but the motor fails to operate. The motor is (to me) obviously getting power, I checked the fuse though but it's fine.Having checked the Haynes manual for fuses and relays, it seems that there are no independent fuses or relays for the rear wipe. Everything else seems to be working, so really I am at a loss and this is my last resort before either calling an auto electrician or taking it to SJB Autotech or similar.Any help would be appreciated as always.Cheers,Jay
Lukey. 381
First you need to make sure it's getting power with a multi meter, using the chassis as a ground, if no 12v then you have a power problem, if there is 12v while chassis grounded then you likely have a bad earth

CALICO 130
Run an earth from the battery and connect it to one of the bolts on the motor and see if there's any difference
