CALICO 130
Once a Beemer driver always a beemer driver. Probably prefers drifting over all other motorsports.

WaynesVR6 2
Funny top gear rate the car quite highly, its doesnt have engine note of a 12v but it has an engine that can be tuned to be much quicker than the well known jap stuff.
krave 0
Regarding the bmw thing, Ive just sold my 330 and got a 4motion, Bmw in every department feels better. But then the price difference is obviously the reasoning behind this....
Dave_ciw 507
Knobs....that is allCouldnt agree more I had an E36 328I, single turbo skyline, alfa GT's with flappy paddle, V8 XJR that is supercar territory all fantastic cars in their own right and awesome to drive but the fact is I have had 5 VR6's!!! Everytime I get happy in there I sell it for a change and keep coming back! I will be buying a new BMW soon but it will be an X5 family bus and thats it! For her to drive! The VR6 is not very powerful at all in comparison to whats out there now in hatchback land! But my god does it sound the best! Handling can be a bit dicey unless the set up has been altered! But as said before "Blokes a KNOB" and Yes I am bias I do love this engine!
RBPE 198
Think it's also the fact that VW kinda went the luxo-all-rounder-hatch as opposed to the back road blaster that the earlier Golf's were. The luxury added weight and ruined handling but that's why God created the coilover ;-)
Lukey. 381
The trend will be reversed in not too long anyway so cars will be like they used to be in terms of low weight to power, not through not having much luxe equipment, but by use of composites etc. So in summary, 30 years on and you're back where you started, but with bigger wheels, better corrosion protection, remote locking and air con. Progress.....
